Chelsea boss, Graham Potter has described the newly signed midfielder, Enzo Fernandez as an ‘impressive young man.
Speaking ahead of the club’s Friday fixture against Fulham, Potter noted that the paperwork for the Argentine is still currently ongoing and may not feature in the encounter.
Fernandez joined the Blues from Benfica for a British-record transfer fee of £107million on deadline day of the January transfer.
His contract will last until June 2031 at Stamford Bridge and is expected to be available for Chelsea’s home game against Fulham on Friday.
“We’ve got to wait and see with the paperwork, to see if he gets the clearance,” said Potter.
“I’ve spoken to him and although my Spanish isn’t great and his English isn’t great – we needed a translator, but we’ll get there. He’s an impressive young man. I’m excited to work with him.” Potter said.
Chelsea are currently sitting 10th on the premier league with 29 points
