Ummita’s murder: Chinese community in Nigeria supports prosecution of Geng Quanrong

The Chinese Business Community in Nigeria (CBCAN) has commented on the killing of Ummukulsum Buhari in Kano.

The lady who’s also known as Ummita, was allegedly killed on Friday night by a Chinese citizen, Geng Quanrong.

The CBCAN Head, Mike Zhang, via a statement on Monday, condemned the killing.

The CBCAN Head revealed that the criminality of Zhang should be handled professionally by relevant agencies of security.

“The Chinese community in Kano is fully in support of the law taking its proper course”, he noted.

He added that Chinese people appreciate the hospitality so far extended to them in Kano and will continue to abide by the law, and contribute to the development of the state.

The statement has extended message of condolence to the family of the deceased lady, who’s a graduate of Agriculture Science from Kampala University.

The 23-year-old Ummita, before her demise, was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
