UEFA Champions League Round 16 Full Draw

The draw for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 was made at the UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday.

While top on the list of games to see in the knockout stage will see PSG tackling Bayern Munich, the draw also presents a repeat of the last year’s final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Manchester City will be hoping for a smooth ride in to the last Eight when they face RB Leipzig while the stakes also seem equal with the draw between Club Brugge and Benfica.

Also another cracker in the round will see Borussia Dortmund facing Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur taking on AC Milan while Inter Milan and Porto will do battles.

Having emerged as Group A leader with goal difference setting them apart from Liverpool, Napoli will have a date with Bundesliga’s side, Frankfurt in another round of 16 games.

How did the draw work?

Two seeding pots were formed: one consisting of the eight group winners (seeded teams) and the other of the eight runners-up (unseeded teams). No team could be drawn against a club from their group or any side from their own association.

Seeded group winners were drawn away in the round of 16 first legs and at home in the return matches.

The first legs of the last 16 will take place on 14/15 and 21/22 February 2023 with the second legs on 7/8 and 14/15 March 2023.
