UCL round of 16 draws hold November 7
Premier league clubs are the biggest winners of the stake in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League as they all progressed to the round of 16 unscathed.
In Spain, four of its participants were reduced to one (Real Madrid) after Sevilla, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid faced shocking exits in the group stage.
More shocking, Diego Simeone’s Atletico even failed to finish third and missed out on Europa League too.
Napoli was its blistering best as it pipped Liverpool to top of Group A with goal advantage, despite losing in the last game
A fight till the last day in Group D, yet , it was Tottenham Hotspur and Eintracht Frankfurt that took the main spots respectively.
The draw for the round of 16 will be made on November 7 and Group winners will be drawn against group runners-up.
For the next round, neither can teams from the same countries face each other nor teams who played each other in the group stage would meet up in the next round.
Group winners will play away in the first leg, with ties to be played on February 14, 15 and 21, 22. March 7, 8 and 14, 15 are the date for the return legs
