Kwara United would have their youngster sensation, Godwin Oshagbemi
thanked for helping the team secure an important away draw against Heartland FC in the NPFL Matchday 18 rescheduled game played at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
Godwin, who is a graduate of Kwara Football Academy scored a fantastic equaliser goal in the 60th minute of the game to force the Naze millionaires to a draw.
The struggling Heartland FC had scored in the 54th minute off a goal mouth rush through Temitope Akande, after a well taken corner kick.
Meanwhile, it was Godwin’s third goal for Kwara United since he joined the team last season. He has endeared himself to the fans and supporters of the club with his impressive performance which has also seen him attracted a lot of interest from top clubs in the country.
His performance last season also earned him an invitation to the camp of the Nigeria U20 National team last year for a trial ahead of their world campaign.
The 1-1 result now sees Kwara United moved an inch to 12th on the log with 23 points while Heartland continues to languish at the rock bottom of the table with 17 points as both teams head into the league first round break.
