U.S company keen to rescue Man Utd owner from financial crisis
The take over bid of Manchester United may be taking another dimension with the entry of American hedge fund Elliott Management in to the fray.
Several reports on Monday revealed that the New York-based group has now registered an interest in investing in the club by offering Glazer family the financial backing to remain as owners of the team.
Qatari investors and British billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe have both registered their interest for the club take over with negotiations believed to be ongoing.
Elliott’s emergence in the sale process of United opens up the prospect of Joel and Avram Glazer, the club’s co-chairs, retaining an interest in the club.
Meanwhile, the Glazers had hinted that it won’t take below £6 billion for the club takeover.
