APC denies suspension of National Vice Chairman over alleged anti-party activities

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it did not suspend the National Vice Chairman (North-east), Comrade Mustapha Salihu over his relationship with a member of the opposition camp.

The ruling party denied suspending the chieftain of the party over alleged anti-party activities.

The APC chieftain was alleged of keeping close relationship with the Governor of Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri who’s elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He was suspended over allegations of “gross abuse of office, conspiracy and acts typical of anti-party.”

The chairman of the party, Rumde Ward, Abdulkadir Abdullahi sent a letter to the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, denying the suspension of the chieftain of the party.

The letter reads; “The All Progressive Congress, Rumde Ward Working Committee, Yola North Local Government, Adamawa State wishes to distance itself from the purported suspension of the APC National Vice-Chairman Northeast, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, going viral on social media platforms.

“There can be no doubt about his many virtues, his spirit for party duty, resilience and capacity to listen to advice and so on.

“Attached is the signature of Rumde Ward Working Committee members passing a Vote of Confidence on The APC National Vice Chairman, Northeast”.
