Transfer: Chelsea reach agreement to sign Monaco defender

Chelsea has agreed a deal with Monaco to sign defender Benoit Badiashile.

According to The Athletic, the deal which is reportedly worth around £33m will see the 21-year-old will sign a long-term contract that is already in place.

Badiashile has already made 135 career appearances for Monaco despite his modest age, and has also been capped twice by France.

The defender is expected to be part of a long term project at the Stamford Bridge
