Three policemen gunned down in Niger
Some unidentified gunmen have killed three police officers and a commercial motorcyclist in Suleja, Niger State.
The incident reportedly occurred around 11pm on Thursday.
The police officers were reportedly answering a distress call before they were ambushed near a location called Old Barracks.
“They were ambushed by the gunmen, who seemed to be expecting their arrival,” a source said.
Suleja Council Chairman, Abdullahi Shuaibu Maje, while confirming the incident, said about three persons, including a vigilante person survived the attack.
He said they were currently receiving treatment at a hospital in the area.
