Three persons have been killed and two others injured in when a speeding Toyota car rammed into a moving truck on Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The Informant247 gathered that the accident which occurred on Saturday evening at Sapaade – Ogere stretch of the expressway, involved a Toyota car marked KSF122 FB and a truck with registration number FZE840G.
Ahmed Umar, The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) Ogun Sector Command, while confirming this on Sunday, attributed the cause to speeding and loss of control on the part of the Toyota car which rammed into a moving truck from the rear.
Umar said the injured were taken to Victory Hospital Ogere while the remains of the dead were deposited at FOS Morgue Ipara.
However, the Sector Commander while sympathizing with the family of the victims, reiterated on the dangers of excess speed especially during rainy season when visibility is usually poor.
He advised motorists to drive defensively and obey traffic rules and regulations to arrive safely.
