While the victims alleged the sexual crime and other shenanigans of the deceased spanned over two decades, it also revealed how SCOAN shielded its congregation from the truth about the collapse of one of the church’s guesthouses in 2014

Emmanuel TV was founded by the late televangelist TB Joshua in Nigeria in 2006. It gained popularity and expanded its reach during the lifetime of the evangelist especially, through its YouTube channel, which became one of the most subscribed Christian ministry YouTube channels globally.

The YouTube page channel in April 2021 was shut down due to “gay curing” claims.

The claims were said to have violated policies against alleging mental illness, disease, or inferiority based on membership in a protected group, including sexual orientation.

Consequently, Emmanuel TV had to start over on YouTube, and some of its posts were also removed by Facebook for the same reasons.

The exit of the station from cable networks may constitute some low level of followership for the church which is now being led by the wife of the deceased, Evelyn Joshua
