Suspended Chairmen Reject Suspension, Heads to Court

Sequel to the suspension of the 16 local government chairmen by the executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. the suspended Local Government Chairmen have rejected the suspension, thereby headed to court for redress.

Accoding to a report by Factual Times; the Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, Comrade Yinka Dallas said in a chat with Royal FM Ilorin on Wednesday, that they would seek for redress in court on the note that the suspension has political undertone as all the suspended Local Government Chairmen were members of People Democratic Party, PDP.

Comerade Yinka also described the decision by Kwara State House of Assembly as illegal adding that petition against the Local Government Chairmen lacks substance.

”Till now, we are yet to get any query from Kwara State House of Assembly or the state governor. We thought Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq will obey the law and adhere to court decision affirming that our tenure ends November 26, 2020.

”All the 16 local government will jointly file our case in court today. Justice must prevail.” He explained.
