Sudden Illness Claims Life of Salihu Mohammed
Salihu Mohammed, a pilgrim from Batch 3, tragically passed away in the intensive care unit of a public hospital in Madinah. He had suddenly fallen ill, and despite medical efforts, he could not be saved.
Unfortunate Suicide of Hawawu Mohammed
In a separate, deeply distressing incident, Hawawu Mohammed, part of Batch 9, died following an apparent suicide. According to Saudi authorities, she fell from the rooftop of her apartment in Madinah, an incident they have thoroughly investigated and confirmed as a suicide.
Official Statement from Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims’ Board
AbdulKabir expressed profound sorrow over these incidents, stating, “Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board sends heartfelt commiserations to the families of two of our pilgrims who returned to their Lord in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The board deeply regrets these sad events, but submits totally to the decree and ultimate knowledge of Allaah in all affairs.”
The board has extended its deepest condolences to the grieving families and prays for comfort and forgiveness for the deceased.
