Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff, the ECOWAS youth ambassador and Ilorin Emirate Leader of the new school, has been conferred with the Oustanding Youth Personality of the Year Award at the Leadership Summit & Awards hosted by the Kwara State Polytechnic chapter of the Students’ Union Government (SUG)
The Informant247 gathered that the award was given to Gadaff to appreciate his tireless efforts in promoting Youth Friendly Initiatives which has transformed the lives of many Youths in the state since the beginning of the current administration in the State.
In his remarks, the awardee, Gadaff while appreciating the Executives bodies and SUG Excos of the institution said, “I don’t think I fit-in the shoe of this award of the youth personality of the year 2023, Because in Kwara state we have lot of influencer youths that are doing great Starting from Honorable speaker Danladi, Hon Sakai,Muktar Shagaya , Eng. Ilyas Rotimi,Hon Alakawa, Barrister senior, Hon. Ajidagba , Mallam Abdulmajeed, Solace And many more like that in our dear state of harmony.”
Hon. Gadaff, however, appreciates the SUG excos, while dedicating the award to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his youth orientation projects and for giving him the platform to showcase his leadership capacity.
He said, “I dedicate this award to my father, leader, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for given this opportunity in his administration to showcased my leadership skills and as the one who God Almighty Allah have sent to make me a better person in life.”
“I am extremely honored to be receiving such an important award (Youth personality of the year 2023). I am earnestly grateful for the recognition I have received for my struggle, because I am very sure that every other nominee for this award was as capable if not more, of winning this award.”
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion are: Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, Director of Students Affairs, The Kwara poly rector Ably represented, Showboi Akogun, Megabite Mutalib, Adio Odunjo and a host of others.
