Strike: Kwara NANS to protest in Ilorin Tuesday
The Kwara axis of the National Association of Nigerian Students on Monday directed that a peaceful and non-violent protest, be held in the state capital, Ilorin on Tuesday.
According to the Association, the protest is meant to express displeasure over the closure of varsities for over seven months as ASUU and the Federal Government fail to reach a compromise.
“Students of polytechnics, monotechnics, colleges of education, and other allied Institutions are also invited to join the protest because an injury to one is an injury to all,” said a statement issued by Kwara NANS PRO, Taiwo John.
“The convergent point is at Post Office, and the protest will commence at 8:00am tomorrow, Tuesday 20th October, 2020.”
The Chairman of the Association, Salami Wasiu, also confirmed this development to THE INFORMANT247 in a telephone conversation on Monday.
