Nigeria football fans were thrown into a sad mood on Friday as Super Eagles lost their match day three of the ongoing African Cup of Nations qualifier to Guinea Bissau.

The Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau defeated the three times AFCON champions 0-1 at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

France-based Mama Samba Balde’s 31st minutes goal of the game was all the visitors needed to silence the home crowd in only his 2nd international goal for his country.

Although Nigeria’s Super Eagles claimed the larger percentage of the show with their possession, the Jose Paseiro’s led side were poor in the execution of their goal chances.

Nigeria drops to the second position with 6pts in Group A while Guinea Bissau moves to the top with 7 points. The second leg of the game comes up next Tuesday, March 28 in Bissau
