The Kwara State Government, on Friday, presented official letters of appointment to three newly appointed traditional rulers in the state.
The Governor represented by the state Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Arch. Aliyu Mohammed Saifudeen, said the presentation followed the approval by the Executive Council and ratification by the Council of Chiefs in the state.
The newly appointed Royal Fathers include – Oba Haruna Olawale Suleiman (1st Class) as the new Oluopako of Share in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Oba Pharmacist Ajibola Ademola Julius (2nd Class) as Olusin of Ijara-Isin in Isin Local Government Area and Oba Alhaji Mohammed Akande Olarewaju Odunade (4th Class) as Onilupeju of Ilupeju in Ifelodun Local Government Area.
AbdulRazaq said, “The event again has demonstrated the respect of our administration for the traditional institutions and we urged the traditional rulers to continue to carry their people along in the discharge of their responsibilities to their communities, and to support the State Government’s policy thrusts in their domains.
“It is my fervent prayer that your reign will enhance peace, progress and development in your various domains and the State at large.”
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the 3 newly appointed traditional rulers, Oba Haruna Olawale Suleiman, Olupako of Share land appreciated Governor AbdulRazaq for the respect his administration have for the traditional institution in the state
