Security men in court over alleged stealing of generator in Lagos
Two security men, identified as Bashiru Sani and Sani Mohammed, have been dragged before a Lagos Court over alleged theft of a gasoline generator and conspiracy.
32-year-old Sani, and 40-year-old Mohammed are getting tried before Magistrate L.J.K Layeni on a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft.
When the case was read to them, they, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Dr Simon Uche, who’s the prosecutor, informed the court that the defendant carried out the offence on November 2 at the Abule Ado area of Lagos.
He made an allegation that the defendants, while doing his job as gatemen to a complainant, one Kingsley Mba, conspired to dispossess him of his Stenwei Gasoline Generator worth N280,000.
He added that the offence was a contravention of the provisions of Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The court admitted the defendants to the sum of N100,000 bail each plus one surety each in like sum.
He adjourned the matter until December 14 for trial.
