The Publicity Secretary of Kwara chapter of the All Progressive Congress, Mr Sulyman Buhari today, said the Senate President is yet to reach a decision on whether to defect to the opposition party or remain in the ruling APC at the moment.
Buhari made this disclosure during a radio programme, “Ibi-Abasede” were he discussed highlighted issues of interest. He noted that Saraki, who is now a bride in Nigeria politics, is not the only aggrieved member of the ruling party.
“The issue has nothing much to do with nPDP members but also APC members who have been betrayed in their Agreements.”
He further explained that Saraki has not yet officially discuss his decision to defect, however, he emphasised that majority of the political parties have been on his patronage because of his political strength and influence, which, he decribed, should be a loud signal to the national leadership of the party.
“Saraki has never been romancing any political party; rather he has become a bride in Nigerian politics.”
Asked what made Saraki and some other party members aggrieved, he claimed that the breech of agreement between the All Progressive Congress, Saraki and other aggrieved members of the party mostly former CPC members was the main cause of the grievances and political tussle.
Responding to the question about Saraki’s aspiration on the topmost sit in the county, he replied, “Saraki hasn’t mention anything regarding his presidential aspiration, though influential politicians from all walks of life have been pleading with him to contest, I’m sure Saraki is among those that doesn’t disregards people’s wish”.
