Education minister, Adamu Adamu could not deliver LGA to Tinubu, as Atiku wins in Bauchi

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu was not able to deliver his Katagum LGA of Bauchi State for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in order to win the presidential election in the council.

The Informant247 understands that Adamu Adamu is a serving minister supervising the education sector of the country under President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came victorious in the election in the LGA with a total vote of 22,987.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had 20,030 votes.

The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso secured a total of 9,672 while Labour Party’s Peter Obi got a total of 493.

Total accredited voters in the LGA — 57,210

Total valid votes cast — 54,347

Rejected votes — 2,651 out of the total votes cast of 56,998.
