A non-governmental organization, Saliu Mustapha foundation on Saturday, 6th February kick-started its annual empowerment scheme for business owners.
At the occasion, which took place at the organization’s office located at Basin Roundabout, Fate Road, Ilorin, over N6.25 million was distributed to 78 Small and Medium Enterprise owners.

He further urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds, saying “it is a way to show appreciation to Mallam Saliu Mustapha”.
While delivering the lecture, a community developer and motivational speaker, Mr. Lawal Olohungbebe advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the money and not divert it for personal use.
For his part, the Director of Media and Publicity to the foundation stated that the empowerment fund is not a loan scheme, but grants to support their businesses.
He also urged people to be calm as those who were not captured in today’s empowerment exercise will be captured tomorrow.
