The Turaki of Ilorin Emirate and aspirant for the position of Senate in the Kwara Central Senatorial District, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has announced a donation of 17 ultramodern solar-powered boreholes for Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state.

Turaki made this announcement at Asa Local Government Council Secretariat, Afon, during his consultative outreach to the local government. The boreholes, whose drilling he said would commence in a matter of days, would be coordinated through the Niger River Basin Development Authority.

He said that the boreholes were donated as a demonstration of his modest support for the Kwara state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who he described as a performer per excellence, and who deserves all the support he could get from public spirited individuals to deliver more on his promises.

The ultramodern boreholes would be sited at designated locations in each of the 17 wards of the local government.

While responding, the Chairman of the party in Asa LGA, Alhaji Sheu Yahaya thanked the Turaki for his kind gesture. Yahaya narrated how the Turaki has constantly supported the local government aspirations and asked him not to relent.

In the same veins, the party Chairman highlighted the challenges confronting Asa LGA and urged the Turaki to take note of them for immediate interventions as soon as he emerges as the next Senator of the district.

Seated at the event were elders and stakeholders of the party in the local government, including Alhaji Issa Afon, members of the state assemblies from the two constituency; Alhaji Mumini Ogele, Alhaji Saka Isemi, Dr. Abdullahi Atanda, party executives, among others.
