The incoming Senator for Kwara Central District, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has dissociated himself from the trending online Ramadan giveaway of the sum of N5,000 to Kwarans.
The federal lawmaker-to-be dismissed the supposed online Ramadan gift as another possible means of defrauding innocent citizens.
This was revealed in a statement released by media office of the Turaki of Ilorin.
The statement described the “N5,000 Sen. Soliu Mustapha Ramadan Gift” as a handiwork of unidentified fraudsters who even found it uneasy to write the name of the revered politician correctly.
The statement reads, “According to information at our disposal, the fraudsters behind the scheme asked unsuspecting members to apply for a token from Mallam Saliu Mustapha as Ramadan gift.
“The media office of the Senator-elect refutes the alleged scheme and any other claims made in this manner.
“The media office also wishes to inform the public that the official social media accounts of the Senator-elect continue to serve as the most dependable and authentic sources of information from his office:
