Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the Senator-Elect for Kwara Central has expressed condolence over the passing of former Grand Khadi of Kwara State, Justice AbdulMuttalib Ahmad Ambali (retd).
The Informant247 gathered that the elder statesman passed away in the early hours of Thursday, March 30 in Ilorin, the capital of the state at the age of 83.
In a statement personally signed by the federal lawmaker-to-be, he sent message of condolence to the people of Ilorin over the loss.
The Turaki of Ilorin described the deceased jurist and as an illustrious son of Kwara State who has contributed so much to the development of the state and its justice system and that of the entire country.
He referred to the late Islamic scholar as a highly valued statesman in the state and beyond.
The Senator-Elect sent message of sympathy to the associates and family members of the late scholar as well as well meaning citizens of the state, affirming that the “late Justice was a man of sterling virtues who did his job with the fear of God and dispensed justice impartially.
“The late retired grand Khadi lived a humble and peaceful life, and left behind great legacies that will continue to benefit people.
“May the Almighty Allah forgive the soul of the deceased and grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he prayed.
