Reports have emerged on how the fall out between Sadio Mane and Julian Nagelsmann’s aided the sack of the latter as the Coach of Bayern Munich.
According to the German newspaper ‘Bild, the exit of Nagelsmann could be traced to when Mane reportedly got angered in the presence of his teammates for having played only eight minutes in the second leg of the Champions League match against PSG
The scenario consequently fuelled the perception that the gaffer could be easily intimidated and has lost the authority of his players with the Coach not punished the player but started him against Augsburg in the Bundesliga, which was the next game after the champions league clash.
Many officials of the club were reportedly angered by the situation and quite a number of them wanted him sacked.
Corroborating the claim, Bayern’s sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic acknowledged when asked about the Julain’s dismissal that these were the main reasons.
“The relationship between the team and the coach was no longer working,” he had said.
Bayern Munich has subsequently appointed Thomas Tuchel as new Manager for the club.
