Some residents of Minna, the capital of Niger state, have staged protests over incessant epileptic power supply in part of the state.
The protest took place today at NiKpakungu roundabout in Minna, Niger State.
The participants who took part in the protest carried placards with various inscriptions kicking against the failure of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company(AEDC) to provide them with a stable electricity supply.
One of the placards carried by the protester reads, “Our light Our light but some foreigners are trying to steal it from us.”
A source from the state who spoke with THE INFORMANT247 correspondent explained that what led to the protest by the residents in the community was due to frustration due to inadequate electricity supply.
