Police apprehend man over unlawful possession of gun, ammunition in Lagos
The Police Command in Lagos State has confirmed the arrest of a man over unlawful possession of firearms.
The spokesperson of the police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed the development in a post through his verified Twitter handle monitored by The Informant247 on Saturday.
The image maker of the police command said that the suspect was apprehended while operatives of the police Command was conducting its routine stop-and-search at the Badagry area of Lagos state.
“On November 16, 2022 at about 10:15 p.m. vigilant patrol officers of Morogbo Division flagged down a vehicle for routine checks.
“One of the passengers staunchly refused to be searched.
“On the way to the police station, he quietly dropped off his bag,” he said.
The mouthpiece of the police Command made public the contents of the bag which contained ammunition and gun.
