Police apprehend 2 suspected drugs peddlers in Jigawa

Jigawa State Police have apprehended two suspected dealers of drug in Yandutse village of Ringim Local Government Area.

CP. Emmanuel Ekot Effiom, who’s the State commissioner of police, has confirmed this through a statement released to newsmen.

He revealed that the suspects were apprehended on 18/10/2022 at about 1800hrs after a tip-off.

The State commissioner of police, has narrated that the group of police officers apprehended Uzairu Adamu, 21 from Yandutse village in Ringim LGA, with ten (10) and half bags of dry leaves which were suspected to be Indian hemp in his room.

The State commissioner of police, said following interrogation, the suspect admitted that he received the exhibits from one Zaidu Galadima, who’s a truck driver from the Malamawa village, Ringim area.

He revealed that the two suspects were apprehended and investigation into the matter is still ongoing at SCID Dutse.

He further said preliminary findings have revealed that the suspects had earlier been declared wanted by the NDLEA.

The CP added that the suspects will be moved to the care of NDLEA for further investigation and after which they will be dragged to court.
