The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has won the presidential election in eleven local government areas of Gombe State.
The collation officer, Professor Maimuna Waziri who’s also the Vice Chancellor (VC) Federal University Gashua declared the results on Monday morning.
Waziri revealed that Atiku secured highest votes of 319,123.
The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu polled 146,977 votes.
Registered voters — 1,549,243
Accredited voters — 542,997
Total votes — 533,778
Total valid votes — 510,043
Rejected votes — 23,735.
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, had 26,160 votes while the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had 10,520 votes.
