The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain Otunba Adetunji Oyabambi has sent greetings to Muslims as they commence the month-long Ramadan fast.
Otunba’s media team, in a statement in Ilorin on Friday, said the chieftain’s greetings followed the sighting of the lunar month of Ramadan.
The statement said, “This is a month sacred to Muslim faithful. It is a period when Muslims believe that the Almighty Allah showers them with His blessings and mercies in full measure. The doors of Hell are closed, and He opens the doors of Paradise.
“I join the Muslim community, especially in Oyun/Offa/Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Kwara South Senatorial District, and the entire Kwara State in general, to thank the Almighty Allah for another opportunity to witness another Ramadan.”
He furthered, “I also extend my Ramadan greetings to my political leaders, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, all party Leaders, and Elders, as well as our teeming supporters and party faithful.”
He urged Muslims to continue to be each other’s brother’s keepers and learn to forgive each other in exchange for Allah’s forgiveness and mercies.
