Oshimen, Nwabali make list as CAF unveils nominees for African player of the year, others [FULL LIST]
Nominees across different categories for the outstanding performance have been unveiled on Wednesday by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The 2025 CAF Awards in the Men’s Categories, honouring the continent’s standout players, coaches, clubs, and national teams who made remarkable contributions between January 6 and October 15, 2025, saw Nigerian striker Victor Oshimen shortlisted for the award of the best African footballer of the year after a remarkable season in Galatasaray.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali made made the list of the CAF best goalkeeper of the year after an outstanding performance in his Chipper club and that of remarkable performance in the World Cup qualifiers.
The nominees were selected by a panel comprising CAF Technical and Development Committee members, seasoned coaches, CAF Legends, and respected media professionals, where each category features 10 nominees carefully chosen for their exceptional performances across competitions within the period under review.
