Only God can guarantee lasting peace, says Oyedepo

The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said lasting peace cannot be provided by any government or earthly institution, stressing that true peace comes only from God.

Oyedepo spoke on Sunday while ministering at the dedication of Dreamland, Master’s City, the new worship centre of Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State.

His remarks were contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the media unit of Master’s Place International Church.

Speaking on the theme, “Why Do We Dedicate Places of Worship?”, the cleric, who based his message on Romans 15:4, said places of worship were dedicated because they belonged to God.

He said, “God is the owner and builder of His Church. Behind every sanctuary is God, so we are dedicating it to the Owner, because God builds all things. The glory of God will fill His house, and this sanctuary shall be His habitation and house of salvation.”

Oyedepo urged Christians to look to God for peace rather than relying on governments or material institutions.

“No government in this world can give you peace, neither can you find it in the market. It is only God that can give you peace,” he said.

The ceremony also featured the reordination of the Senior Pastor of Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, and his wife, Pastor Esther Komaiya.

The reordination was described as a special impartation and consecration for the couple as they embarked on the next phase of their lives and ministry.

Congratulating the church and the couple on the completion of the worship centre, Oyedepo prayed for greater accomplishments.

“Congratulations. The best is yet to come. Receive fresh grace today to remain faithful and consistent with God,” he said.

He also congratulated the church family and, during the reordination service, laid hands on the couple while offering prayers and prophetic blessings over their lives and ministry.

The event, which coincided with the International Founders Conference 2026, attracted thousands of worshippers and Christian leaders from across Nigeria and beyond.

Among those present were Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Rev. Tony Akinyemi, Rev. Samuel Olubiyo and Pastor Yemi Davids.

Speaking at the ceremony, Komaiya thanked God for the successful completion of the project and appreciated the contributions and support of senior ministers.

“We are grateful to God for the gift of men and for the lives that continue to impact generations through their ministries. To God alone be all the glory,” he said.
