The comedic sequel has been on Flix Patrol’s top 10 list as the longest-running title for a Nollywood film for a total of 98 days, according to the streaming service.
‘Omo Ghetto,’ a comedic sequel starring Akindele in multiple roles as twin sisters, was released in 2020 and grossed over N500 million, making it the biggest grossing film in Nigerian history.
Following its successful theatrical run, the film was released on Netflix in 2021 to rave reviews.
Chioma Akpota, Nancy Isime, Eniola Badmus, and Tina Mba, Bimbo Thomas, Deyemi Okanlawon and Mercy Aigbe among others, the film follows the story of twin sisters leading separate lives but are reunited by a series of dramatic events.
