Accolades fanfares as Cute Abiola empowers aged people with first salary

It was fanfares yesterday as popular skit-maker, Abdulgafar Ahmed popularly known as Cute Abiola who was recently appointed Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on Creative Industry distributed his first salary to aged people in his constituency.

The comedian from Fagba in Ilorin resigned as a Naval officer to take up his appointment as the Special Assistant on Creative Industries to Kwara State Governor last month.

While distriburing the cash empowerment, the comedian turned politician said he had had plans to give out his first salary as a show of goodwill to his people for their numerous support.

He added that he has been empowering people before his appointment, adding his current political office would allow him to do better.

He promised to stretch his empowerment and make impact to the whole of Kwara State, if Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is re-elected.

The beneficiaries, in joyous mood showered encomium and prayers on him for the kind gesture, urging for continuity.

The comedian became a household name since 2015 after featuring in many comedy skits with Mr Macaroni, and Broda Shaggi, among other. He has also acted in some movies.
