Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi has fixed a date to marry Kano princess, Firdaus Abdullahi, The Informant247 gathered.
On March 8, 2022, the monarch via his social media account announced the date of his forthcoming wedding to the Kano princess. The ceremony is scheduled to hold on March 19, 2022, at the residence of Madakin Kano, Yola Quarters in Kano State.
A reception said to be strictly for the ladies will follow afterward at the palace of Emir of Kano, HRH Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
The informant247 recalls, Oluwo was married to a Canadian-born woman, Chanel Chin, with whom he shares a son, but they parted ways in 2019 over irreconcilable differences.
Sharing photos of the wedding invite on social media, the monarch described his bride to be a wife material and morally upright princess.
He wrote,
