Oluwo Of Iwo Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi 1024x731 1

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has commended the move by Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to allow local government areas in the state enjoy autonomy.

This was contained in a statement signed by Oba Akanbi in Osogbo on Monday and made available to newsmen.

Oba Akanbi, also lauded Adeleke’s decision to open the state’s account books to royal fathers during their monthly meeting, saying the move was an indication that the governor recognises the important roles monarchs play in managing affairs of the state.

The statement further read in parts, “I don’t know where he got the wisdom of having a meeting with the traditional institution to commence his administration, but I know such must be a divine wisdom from God. He is starting on a good note for recognising the traditional institution.

“Equally, the governor deserves another commendation for his pledge to grant autonomy to local government administrations in Osun State.
