‘No allegation of fraud against me’, Ex-Kwara gov, Ahmed speaks on EFCC invitation

The Economic and Financial crimes Commission (EFCC), on Monday, invited the immediate past Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed for questioning.

Ahmed, the state governor between 2011 and 2019, disclosed this in a short statement posted on the microblogging site, Twitter on Tuesday.

He stated that the anti graft body invited him to clarify certain transactions and decisions taken while he was governing the state.

“Yesterday, I was at the Ilorin Zonal office of EFCC on invitation. During the session, I clarified specific budgeted transactions and board-approved decisions of a government body while I was Governor. No allegation of fraud was made against me. I have since returned home,” he tweeted.
