Night of records as Liverpool breaks Napoli unbeaten run
It was a night of records as Liverpool secured a 2-0 win over Napoli to end the Serie A giant 17 match unbeaten.
Late goals from Mohammed Salah and Darwin Nunez was all the reds needed to end spoil the run of the Spalleti’s boys at the Anfield.
While it was the first Champions League goal for Nunez, Salah was able to equal the Steven Gerrard 41 European goals for the Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp will also have its own share of the day with the win handing him his 400th win as Liverpool manager.
Against the run of play, the results handed Liverpool 15 points from their six champions league game, a show which runs contrary to their sloppy Premier League performance which has seen them only gathering just 16 points from 12 league games
Despite the win, Napoli still emerged top of group A with 3 goals difference advantage, albeit same points going into the round of 16 draw which hold on November 7.
