100,000 IDPs from Lake Chad return home, says MNJTF
The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has disclosed that more than 100,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been resettled to their ancestral homes in the fringe of Lake Chad as part of the successes recorded against terrorists in boundary communities of Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon.

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) on Thursday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to end the inefficiency and endemic corruption in NNPC Limited if the country will ever meet its Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) production quota in the near future.
The CNPP, in a statement by Chief Willy Ezugwu, its Secretary-General, said that to continue to perceive the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria as to blame for continuing fall of the naira against the dollar amounts to taking the blame game of appointees in the present administration too far, insisting that “the CBN cannot be blamed when Nigeria isn’t meeting its OPEC production quota as an economy that mainly depends on crude oil revenues.”
Two more ISWAP terrorists arrested, over Owo church killing
Following the attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, months ago, two more terrorists suspected to be members of the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) have been arrested.
Recall that the Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, had on Tuesday confirmed that about five terrorists linked to the attack were arrested in the State.
