Nigerian military says officers not involved in oil theft

ABUJA, Nigeria (The Informant247) – Nigeria’s military said on Friday it officers are not involved in oil theft and bunkering in Niger Delta region.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) had said it was tired of producing oil that would eventually be stolen by thieves despite the protection of pipelines by security agencies.

The military spokesperson, Maj.-Gen. Jimmy Akpor told reporters in Abuja that the the allegation was unfounded.
