LAGOS, Nigeria (The Informant247) – 32-year-old Nigerian, Damilola Omojolowo, was on Thursday remanded in prison for ‘defiling’ a 14-year-old girl.
The Prosecution Counsel, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that Omojolowo committed the offence in March at Church Street, Lagos.
Ajayi said Omojolowo lured the girl into his room and defiled her.
He said that the defendant was caught by some neighbours.
Ajayi said the offence contravenes the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate E. Kubeinje of Ikeja Magistrates’ Court who did not take the bail plea of Omojolowo, ordered that the case file should be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
Kubeinje adjourned the case until Nov. 2 for the DPP advice.
