In a heartbreaking incident, a lifeless newborn baby boy, with the placenta still attached, was discovered in a carton near the Kure ultramodern market in Fadikwe. The grim find was made by passersby who noticed the carton left unattended for an extended period.
The Niger State Child Rights Agency swiftly responded to the situation, transporting the baby to the hospital where, unfortunately, he was confirmed dead. In an effort to uncover the circumstances surrounding this distressing incident, the agency has reported the matter to the GRA Police station, initiating a thorough investigation to identify the newborn’s mother.
