Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State Governor on Wednesday, revoked the certificate of occupancy of a filling station in Minna while ordering its demolition after he inspected the filling station which was located at Ketaren Gwari, in the Minna metropolis.

According to him, the structure was illegal and its location was not safe for the people of the area, insisting that he had earlier asked the owners to stop work.

He said: “We have a report of the illegal structure, and I have asked the Urban Development Board to stop them from working, but they continued, so we revoked the C of O from today, and we will mark it for demolition.”

Bago further insisted: “It’s uncalled for in the midst of people, it’s hazardous to their lives, and it’s not acceptable.”
