A former Gubernatorial aspirant in the last general election, Mallam Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha have congratulated Kwarans for the numerous achievements and breakthroughs they recorded collectively and individually in the outgone year 2019.
In his new year message signed by his media team and obtained by THE INFORMANT247, Mustapha tasked Kwarans to guide the new found freedom jealously.
The statement read, “I join all well wishers across the globe to felicitate with Kwarans on the successes of 2019, which hitherto appeared unachievable, but with the camaraderie of all and sundry was achieved without much hassle.
“Prominent amongst our collective achievements in 2019 is the historic Otoge revolution that democratically snatched Kwara away from the firm and unprogressive grip of a few, who hitherto turned our State and its people to captured territories.
“The Kwara 2019 elections was undoubtedly one of the biggest success stories of the outgone year which has gone down in history as the year of redirection for the State.
“We must however never be complacent, the election which birthed a free Kwara is just the beginning and not the desired destination.”
“We must never lower our guard until the government works for all and sundry, we must continue to actively participate in decision making, policy formulation and implementation among others and above all, we must never hesitate to task all those holding our mandate in trust when the need arises”, Mustapha said.
“Our new found freedom must be guided jealousy, it must never be allowed to be orphaned, rather it must continuously be owned wholly by the masses, as it is only then the yearnings and aspirations of the masses who the Otoge movement was all about will be canonised.
“To my beloved Rebirth family, only God can appreciate you all for the sacrifices, love and dedication to the Rebirth ideology, I enjoin us all to remain steadfast and dedicated to the dream of a Rebirthed Kwara and never rest until the sons and daughters of nobody can become somebody without having to know anybody,” he stressed.
