There are strong indications that youths might embark on a renewed protest following the Federal Government’s decision to clampdown on promoters of #EndSARS protests by freezing their bank accounts.
Some #EndSARS promoters had alleged that their banks informed them that the Central Bank of Nigeria had directed that their accounts should be frozen.
Some of the affected individuals include Bolatito Racheal Oduala, Chima David Ibebunjoh, Mary Doose Kpengwa, Saadat Temitope Bibi, Bassey Victor Israel, Wisdom Busaosowo Obi, Nicholas Ikhalea Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Lanre Yusuf, Uhuo Ezenwanyi Promise and Mosopefoluwa Odeseye.
Last months, youths calling for the disbanding of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police protested for two weeks in major cities of the country.
However, a cross section of Nigerians, on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, has threatened to embark on a new protest following the Central Bank of Nigeria’s action, and also urged youth representatives in various judicial panels to pull out.

Hello @CNN trust you’re doing well..
The Nigerian Government in their bid to frustrate Peaceful Protesters have restricted the bank accounts of those who supplied medical care and food during the Nationwide Protest!
Please let them hear from you.
#EndSARS.
@topeakinyode:
If you’re part of the panel of inquiries nationwide & government has obtained a court order to freeze your account. You should know that govt will never honour the outcome of the panel. Leave the panel in protest & let’s rally round for a nationwide action. #EndSARS.
@chibuzoFelix_1:
