The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has announced Thursday, 22nd November 2023, to deliver judgment in the appeal arising from the Nasarawa State governorship election.

This is contained in a notice issued by the court, which the newsmen sighted.

It would be recalled that the state election petition had earlier sacked Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission after he polled a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent, who secured 283,016 votes.

Meanwhile, the tribunal, in a split decision on October 2, sacked Sule while declaring David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party winner of the election.

However, Sule, through his counsel, Wole Olanipekun (SAN), headed to an appellate court, asking it to upturn the tribunal’s judgment.
