Justice Abimbola Awogboro-led Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Friday sentenced a controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, to six months imprisonment with no option of fine.
The Informant247 reports that the Federal High Court sitting Lagos had last week Friday, fixed April 9, 2024, to sentence cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for naira abuse.
It would be recalled that Bobrisky had been arrested and detained by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos State Command, over currency mutilation and abuse of naira notes.
The spokesperson of the anti-graft, Dele Oyewale, while confirming the controversial cross-dresser’s arrest and detention on Thursday morning, added that he would be charged to court.
Meanwhile, Justice Abimbola Awogboro reserved ruling on Bobrisky’s ruling after the social media celebrity pleaded guilty to a four-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) while ordering that the convict be remanded in EFCC custody pending sentence.
