Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo became centre of attraction at a public event after he decided to offer his seat to the presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi.
The development happened at an event which was organised to felicitate Prof. Benedict Oramah, President of the African Export-Import Bank, for the national award bestowed on him.
In a video which has gone viral, the former Nigerian general could be seen calling up Obi who was positioned at table nine, and then led him to table one.
The action of the former Nigerian leader was greeted with applause by those who were at the event.
As the former president moved forward to pick the former Governor of Anambra State from his former seat, Obasanjo said, “In the presence of Nigerians”.
After leading the presidential candidate to table one, he declared, “My job is done”.
