The Moro Concern Elders Movement has condoled with the AbdulRazaq family over the death of their Patriarch, Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq.
The group in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Alhaji I.A. Jimoh; secretary, Dr. Bolaji Afolabi; and Public Relations Officer, Chief T.A.S Oyebiyi during the weekend, described AGF’s death, who is the Moyegun of Shao, as a great loss to the people of Moro Local Government Area.
According to the group, the former Chairman of the Body of Benchers was active in the struggle for the creation of Moro LGA which made the then Ohoro of Shao to honour him with the “Moyegun” title.
The statement read, “The death of Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho AbdulRazaq, though at a ripe age of 93yrs, is particularly a great loss to all the good people of Moro LGA, especially when we look back and remember the patriotic roles he played by coming out to support our agitation for the location of Moro LGA in 1976. AGF AbdulRazaq stood firmly and openly behind us in all our struggles in 1976 against all odds.
“To this, we shall be eternally grateful to him and the entire AbdulRazaq family for this fear, as we believe that his name shall be written in gold in our minds.”
