The Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on Saturday inaugurated an ultra-modern library for the Ilorin Central Mosque.
Sulu-Gambari, during the commisioning in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital, stated that history is being made in the Emirate ‘everyday’.
Speaking on the mosque’s facilities, the monarch disclosed that Morroco despite being a very beautiful Islamic country does not have such state-of-the-art edifice.
“We are proud of this mosque because it is world-class with facilities in different areas,” he said.
Speaking earlier, the chairman of the chairman of the Central Working Committe of the Mosque, Alhaji Shehu AbdulGafar, described facility as ‘an hybrid reference library’, which contained ‘high grade printed and electronic source’.

He said the complex has collections of 5,096 Volumes of Books, 5 Periodicals, 736 Volumes of Law Reports among others, “open to Islamic scholars, Alfas, and students of Tertiary Institution”.
